Sure, you can find anything online … but how do you think much of it gets there? From libraries that have been so carefully keeping it all.

At least not anymore. A new survey says more and more library users come in for the computers, rather than the books.

Earlier this year, libraries in Yolo County, Calif., began letting children and teens who run up big library fines work them off simply by reading, according to the Daily Democrat.

Presidential historian Michael Beschloss visited the Kennedy Library in Dorchester, Mass., Dec. 2, 2007, and LNR was there. Beschloss flogged his new book Presidential Courage with former Wall Street Journal reporter Al Hunt. Hunt didn’t get to my question, but at the end of the talk he asked his own question, which sounded remarkably similar to mine, namely, which presidential candidates exhibit the kinds of traits that suggest they would act courageously in a crisis? A straw poll of the audience put Obama at the top of the list. Photos to come, if I can figure out how to download them from my cell phone.
